Dotty is a 12 year old Spaniel cross Collie girl and she’s currently living in an Oldies Club foster home in Hertfordshire. She’s full of life and is looking for an active forever home. Dotty is the sister of Bella who is also in an Oldies Club foster home. Although they were fine together it was felt that they might thrive even more if they were apart and allowed to develop their own individual personalities. This has worked well and Dotty has settled quickly and happily in her new foster home.

She gets on well with other dogs and loves meeting them although she can sometimes be a little too enthusiastic but she’s never shown any aggression. Dotty loves her walks and dashes about getting into everything. Her fosterers say that she acts more like a puppy but she does seem to be responding well to some basic training. Her recall still needs some work though and she tends to pull on the lead. The training which her fosterers have begun would need to be continued in her new home.

Dotty would fit well into an active family with children over the age of about 7. She’s a bit too lively for toddlers and she does tend to snatch at food but again, her fosterers are working on this. She loves a game of ball and needs a garden to run around in as well as regular walks.
Once indoors, Dotty is very affectionate and loves lots of fuss and attention. She travels well in the car after an initial bit of barking. As far as cats are concerned, Dotty does like to chase them in the garden so a home without a resident cat might be more suitable. Dotty has been spayed and will have been vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
