Smart dog training Secrets!
At the last visit I remarked that his dobermann was overweight and looked more like a labrador with a little head. My SIL flared up at me and we had a few words.
This visit, several months later, my brother was ill. He is completely laid up and I barely saw him. I asked my Mum if she though he would mind me taking their dog for a walk. She couldn't see why not, and my brothers kids went in to their Dad and asked for her lead for me. My offer was met with great anger. My SIL came out and said 'you are not taking her for a walk, I will walk her later (I have never known her take the dog for a walk). When I queried why not she flared up in my face to not push it and not to go upsetting my brother about it!
I shrugged, said it was a shame and had to leave the dog indoors.
Later on a conversation developed and I was told I was not allowed to take their dog out as I was a 'pompous tart' and 'cared more for dogs than people'.
They did not want me walking their dog and talking about how fat she was, I was told.
I am just stunned. This is all because I dared to point out their dog was overweight months beforehand. Had I not spoken to my sister in law the following morning and asked after my brother she would now not be speaking to me. I am so upset that she felt they felt the need to hurl insults at me and quite frankly it has ruined our relationship.
