Frankie is a lovely 8 year old male Greyhound. Well my life has been like a rollercoater!

Started racing at Sunderland in Nov 03, average boy with only a few 1st under my belt. Got retired June 04 and thats when everything started to go down hill.
Passed on to someone who did not look affter me and my friends properly.
We were kept in a shed in Sunderland until we escaped in Sept o8. A nice man found me at a petrol station and took me to Steve’s who put me right. A dental, castration and lots of lovely food.
Once I put on enough weight, I was moved into a foster home with other dogs.

My new friends are 2 crazy Greyhounds and 1 crazy Whippet, all young so they do keep me on my toes.
I am fully house trained and do have the run of the house during the day.
I am looking for a quiet household. Part time workers are great, even better someone in most of the day so I can have some company.
I am slightly nervous but can you blame me!
Frankie by his fosterer
Frankie has settled into home life great. His confidence is growing everyday and seeing him with his new friends enjoying life is fantastic.
He now joins the family when chilling out although he does like his own space and will take himself off to his bed when he wants some extra quiet time. Our household has Children, 2 young Greyhounds and 1 very small racing Whippet so it can get a little noisey.
Fully house trained now, he does have the run of the downstairs. He can climb stairs and has found the king size bed which he did jump on and just lays there. Walks are great, does not pull, well not until he see’s a hare racing across the fields or the moor hens trying to get back to the water.
Frankie is still a little nervous which is very understandable when you look at his past history. He does not like people walking right behind him but I am sure with time this will fade.
Foodwise he is not a greedy dog, taking just what he needs. Due to him having only 5 teeth, he can’t eat dog biscuits but give him cheese, ham or a pancake then he wolfs it down.
Overall he is such a thrill to look after and he deserves only the very best.
