Meet Jester, a 17 month old male Border Collie who is looking for a new home after his previous owners couldn’t cope with a young, lively Collie. He could potentially live with another dog, but he needs further socialisation and could also possibly live with a cat, providing the cat is dog confident. He is housetrained and could live with children ages 16 years and older.

His ideal new owners will be an experienced, active dog owner who is fully aware of the hard work and commitment involved in caring for a dog, knowing how much exercise and mental stimulation Collies need. They will need to have owned Collies or similar working breeds before.

He will benefit from visiting training classes and will need a minimum of one to two hours exercise daily in a park or open space. Initially on a long line and muzzled whilst undergoing training as he has a tendency to jump and nip at strangers and other dogs.
